Rashmee School Tutorial Class
I arrived at the place at 5 pm and was directed to the Terrace for our class – the class room which we are paying a rent for was occupied so this was the new place – it was extremely cold and windy on the terrace and the 12 kids that came for their class were feeling cold. Another issue was the place being on the railway lines – every time a train passes which was every few minutes the kids ran to see it pass and would get distracted.
The kids were all Bengali speaking – most of their school books were in Bengali but they were learning English too and I was able to take that class of theirs.
It was a sense of pride to have the ANAVI Flex displayed during the class. The kids will need ABC books with the ABC on dotted lines so that they could write and learn better this way. Colouring books could also be given and definitely pencils and rubbers – they had a pencil which was not even 2 inches and struggling to write with that.
The children had a longing to learn more and this spirit encouraged me too – they certainly deserve to learn how to read and write and this is being provided by ANAVI. Their strong point is their Bengali. They love to recite and sing too.
List of items we could donate to the school : Pencils, Rubbers, Dotted line alphabet books for English, and Single line exercise books
I truly look forward to my next class with these children at Rashmee school.
