Anavi members will always remember the sunny afternoon of 19th February. We were accompanied by a group of very keen ladies who wanted to see how Anavi had made a difference! Their interest had been buoyed after the presentation they had seen earlier and now wanted to see it for themselves.

Mrs Cremers, who has been instrumental in helping Anavi get where it is today – spread to six cities in India with a lot of work being done at Kolkata and Mumbai – was accompanied by Mrs. Singh, Mrs. Hojgaard and the group of other visiting guests. All of them were visiting Mumbai for the Annual seminar and the Ladies Seminar which was being held simultaneously. The presentation had been made earlier in the day and now was the visit all of them had been looking forward to.

Our first stop was to Fatimashray. Anavi has been associated with and helping them since we started our Mumbai chapter. The girls at the institute put up a very nice cultural show for all of us. It was followed by the guest meeting them and handing them Anavi goody bags. Next stop – Vidya School. Anavi inaugurated this school in September 2016 and those kids made us proud in front of the guest. A short interaction and gifts followed.

The kids were undoubtedly very happy; and the guest – at loss of words.

Thanks to the wonderful support of donors and well-wishers, Anavi has been able to make a world of difference to many lives in different cities across the country. We strive to do better.
