A tree plantation drive was carried out by local resident (mainly seafarers) of Kishan Nagar Area – Dehradun.

The drive was supported by Anglo-Eastern. Fleet Personnel Manager Yatharth Ballabh, 2/E Mayank Singh Rawat and 2/O Sudhanshu Uniyal joined the localities in carrying out the tree plantation.

Total of 43 tree have been planted so far. Plan to do plantation in 1-2 more phases, especially in area where local people are coming forward and promising to take care of these tress. All the tree planted on or near the road has been protected with tree guards. We did fall short of few guards but were able make few by collecting bamboo sticks. Looking at local residents enthusiasm and support it was really worth drenching in rain for the cause. Literally fruitful day with promising future in many ways.
