Visits to Cremers Foundation, Apon Ghar, Voice of World and Topsia Creche
As 2017 drew to a close, Anavi members continued the good work of the whole year making multiple visits and bringing smiles to young and old alike.
On 17th December, a bright sunny winter afternoon Anavi members were treated to some excellent performances by the children at the Cremers Foundation, Sarsuna. Dances and recitals by the young girls really made us all feel proud of our efforts at this institute. A good progress is also observed in the computer knowledge of these girls.
Our next stop was Apon Ghar where just a visit brings smiles to the inmates faces. They were all ready to welcome us in their best sarees. Some minutes spent with these oldies makes their day, and ours too.
Our final stop for the day was Voice of the World. Again here were witnessed some remarkable performances by the children. The monthly ration of mustard oil was also given. Anavi’s association with this institute has become stronger this year and in 2017 we look forward to helping them in a more significant way.
Our final activity of the year was on 21st December. A visit to Topsia Creche is always memorable for the sheer energy of the kids. This time being the Christmas visit, it was even more so. We distributed food packets, groceries and notebooks for children of the institute. Anavi members were also accompanied by 2 students pursuing their MBA and interning with Anavi.
December brought down the curtains to a very memorable 2016. We wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year and hope to better ourselves in 2017.
