30-January-2014 : Fatimashray, Mahakali Caves- Andheri

On 30th of January Anavi Mumbai’s CSR team visited an orphanage run by the Fatimashray sister for orphan girls and young women aspiring to be sisters.

The sisters are like parent figures for these little girls towards whom they have devoted their life. Most of the girls go to a government funded school and come back and help in the daily chores. An all round development is planned for them and Anavi Mumbai is helping them out to achieve this goal. Anavi Mumbai has donated computers and aided them for teaching the same to these girls, for which a proper computer room with appropriate tables and connection has been set up by Anavi Mumbai’s IT department. On the 30th Anavi Mumbai ended its visit by sharing the joy of giving -bags, stationery and food to the girls, thereby making it a very memorable experience for one and all.

We declared 1st, 2nd and 3rd position winners for each group, alongwith consolation prizes. Afterwards, we provided lunch for everyone, including the teachers. The lunch consisted of rice, dal, fried potato, fish and chicken curry, and chutney. They enjoyed the time we spent with them throughout the day. It was a memorable experience for us.

Visit to Topsia Creche – 26-September-2013

On 26th September, we brought gifts to the children of Topsia creche as a celebration of Durga Puja. We gifted clothes to 25 children, all from underpriviledged families. Even the teachers were not excluded from the festivities. Seeing smiles on their innocent faces gave us immense happiness and hope, that we are indeed making a difference and contributing to society. Their promise to us that they would wear those clothes and enjoy the pujas made us even happier.

Pre-Puja Visit to Aponghar – 19-September-2013

On 19th September, we visited Apanghar old-age home, Thakurpukur. We wanted to share the happiness of the Pujas with the elderly women of the home and gifted them sarees as a token of our love. We also gifted their care-taker with a suit-piece and the cook with a saree. The women of the home are often very lonely, and so we chatted and spent time with them. We also brought sweets to share with them. Owing to their old-age and inability to experience the outside world, the women of Apanghar were able to experience the spirit of the Pujas through us
