Various Visits – 20-September-2017

Visits to Cremers Foundation, Voice of World , Apon Ghar and Topsia Creche

All festivals carry the message of giving back to the society and doing something for the needy. Anavi takes this principle very seriously.

September was a special month for the Anavi members. We have always believed in having celebrations with a difference. And September was full of such days where bringing a smile to a face meant so much more.

Cremers Foundation has become synonymous with Anavi. This time we decided to honour the ladies who make the institute work on day to day basis. New sarees were given to the house mothers and helpers at Sarsuna on the occasion of Durga Puja. That small gesture on our part could bring such joy to those who have dedicated their lives serving the institute was a humbling experience for us.

The ladies at Apon Ghar had requested for a TV since the one they had went kaput a few days back. High cost of repairs was prohibitive. This presented us with an opportunity to do something special for these oldies. TV sets were gifted to the institute on occasion of Durga Puja to make these days special for them.

The children at Topsia Creche have always held a special place in our hearts. This year too, we presented then with new dresses on the occasion of pujas. Two visits this month by the aunties at Anavi made this month memorable for these underprivileged kids.

Earlier in the month a visit was undertaken to Voice of World to present them with the monthly supply of mustard oil.

We added to our own festivities by spreading cheer among those who need it most.

We whole heartedly thank our supporters for making it possible and wishing everyone a very Shubho Bijoya and Happy Dusshera.
