It was a great moment for the people of Omapadiyoor tribal village, Agali, Attappadi hill area in Kerala. A day when their long lasting dream was cherished.
ANAVI, a charitable society, supported and run by the employees and the families of Anglo-Eastern Ship Management India, constructed and handed over new Anganawadi to the tribal people.
The inaugural function on 11th June 2019 at 1030 hrs. was presided over by Smt Lakshmi. S, Agali Panchayat president. Chief Guest Sri Francis Akkara , Director training AEMTC , Mumbai along with Sri O.P . Vineeth , Anglo eastern Chennai , Capt Anoop Jose , Anglo eastern Kochi drove down miles , graced the occasion , inaugurated and handed over key to Agali Panchayat president.

Ooru moopan Mannan and the workers were honored by the Chief Guest Sri Francis Akkara. Capt Sunil Balagopal welcomed all the guest and gathering. Special tribal Dhol band was arranged to glitter the function. Sri Mohammed Ali , Chairman social welfare committee Agali Panchayat , panchayat Ward 7 member rendered their felicitations .
The occasion was graced by the presence of our seafaring fraternity Capt Baiju Joseph, Capt.Bibu Job, Capt.Anish Abdul Aziz, 2E Nithin Anand of AESM and Sri Parameswaran , HOD MBA of CMC.
The function concluded with vote of thanks and national anthem. All the participants were found joyful and dispersed after high tea , sweets and snacks.
The new Anganawadi will serve habitats of three tribal villages in the neighborhood . It is a history created by AESM in the tribal soil as a part of helping hand to rebuild Kerala after devastating 2018 floods
