Visit to Ramola Villa
This visit was planned to celebrate Bengal New Year with the old ladies and give them gifts and sweets. As always a record turnout of members made this visit fruitful and enjoyable. 3 young members joined us: Mahima Biswas, Disha De, Ric & Nikita Mendonca. Mention needs to be made that all the Ladies enquired about Mr Pradhan and we told them he was away at a meeting abroad but missed him they did.
The ladies were all dressed up and awaiting our arrival – it was amusing to watch one old lady powdering her face for our arrival – it was a special day for them as they love visitors and someone to talk to. We chatted with them and also went to the top floor where the bed ridden ladies are kept and took their blessings for our Company and for our families.
Ric sang Bengali songs for the ladies and one of them a Hindi one – Teri Diwani by Kailash Kher was enjoyed by all. We also requested Ric who studies in Class XII to join us in our future visits to sing and he willingly agreed. Mahima Biswas the smallest one played Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for the ladies and it sounded so sweet. Nikita Mendonca was the official photographer for the visit. Its truly heartening to see our siblings join us on our visit and also our meetings. We welcome them.
Then came the hardest part to say au revoir to the ladies but not before handing them their gifts neatly packed which was a Lifebouy soap, Ponds powder, Coconut oil and a towel. A popular sweet Sandesh make of Notun Gur was also given to each one which they appreciated. They loved the towels most of all as they badly needed this in the summer.
With smiles and a bit of nostalgia we left the ladies but not without making their day and a promise to be back soon.
PARIVAAR keep going and may God continue to bless our efforts. Please view the photographs of this visit on our site aesmparivaar.com (tomorrow evening). Please also continue to blog.
